Scatterweb goes further: combined with ZigBee or Z-Wave, Scatterweb has 3 – 5 time higher radio power and therefore it  covers a wider range. So while ZigBee and others might be appropriate for a network with a very small range like one room or one floor, Scatterweb can be the smart backend to combine several ZigBee subnets to a smart wide are solutions. Transmission from floor to floor, through walls or even steel is easily possible with Scatterweb wireless technology.

True Multi-Hop capabilities: in currently available ZigBee or other standard components true mesh networking and self configuring multi-hop routing is still a problem. ScatterWeb is by design prepared to be self configuring and uses true multi hop routing.

So by embracing interesting wireless standards and extend their usability and radio range, ScatterWeb is uniquely positioned to become a part of your wireless network strategy.

RFID does not require a wired backend infrastructure: today most RFID readers are tight to a nearby IP based backend that can be used to transmit the received information. RFID readers supplied with ScatterWeb wireless network components free all applications from expensive wiring and allow for an unparalleled level of flexibility
